FireDesire originated from a simple fascination:
Fire brings people together.
A crackling fire in the garden, warm evenings with friends, shared barbecues, and genuine outdoor moments – that's precisely what we develop our FireDesire fire pits for.
What started in 2020 as a young startup from Germany is today a brand for high-quality fire pits, grill plates, and matching outdoor accessories. Our goal is clear: We want to create products that emotionally inspire, are technically well-conceived, and truly work in everyday life.
When Design Meets Function
A fire pit shouldn't just look good.
It must stand stably, withstand heat, be practical to use, and create atmosphere simultaneously.
This is exactly where FireDesire combines unique design with ingenious function.
Our fire pits are designed to do more than a classic fire pit. The well-thought-out interlocking system, stable steel construction, integrated carrying handles, ash pan, and optional accessories like a grill plate or intermediate shelf create a flexible system that can be used as a fire pit, grill, or the centerpiece of cozy evenings.
We pay attention not only to aesthetics but to every detail:
How is the fire pit assembled? How is the glow guided? How can ash be cleanly removed? How can warmth, flame, and grilling function be meaningfully combined?

Developed by a Mechanical Engineer
My name is Rico Pena, founder of FireDesire, mechanical engineer, product designer, and passionate firefighter.
As a mechanical engineer, I think about products not just from a design perspective, but primarily from a functional one. For me, a good product must be logically constructed, resilient, durable, and easy to use in everyday life.
This technical understanding is precisely what goes into our fire pits:
Material thicknesses, plug connections, stability, heat management, cleaning options, and expandability are not coincidences – they are deliberately developed.
The goal was never just to build any fire pit.
The goal was a product that is different: optically striking, technically sound, and versatile.
A fire pit that creates a campfire atmosphere, can be expanded with a grill plate, and thus transforms a fire pit into a real outdoor experience.
The Connection to the Fire Department
My fascination with fire has been with me since childhood. At 12, I was finally allowed to join the youth fire department – and to this day, I am actively involved with the volunteer fire department with all my heart.
As a firefighter, you experience fire from a special perspective. You know its power, its effect, and the respect it deserves. This very awareness also shapes FireDesire.
For me, fire is not just heat and flame.
It is atmosphere, community, and a feeling that brings people together – when used consciously, safely, and with respect.
This combination of firefighting, technical understanding, and love for design is the foundation of our products.
From Fire Department Merchandise to Fire Pits
FireDesire was originally founded with a strong connection to the fire department. For us, firefighting is more than a hobby – it stands for responsibility, solidarity, and passion.
These values accompany us to this day.
Over time, our enthusiasm for fire, technology, and outdoor moments led to a new direction: fire pits that not only warm but also inspire. Products that don't seem arbitrary but have their own character.
